A Comprehensive Plan For New Mexico’s Statewide Architectural Survey
Client: New Mexico Historic Preservation Division
Site: Statewide
The New Mexico Historic Preservation Division determined that their existing method for completing an architectural survey was not as effective as it might be. They contracted with Garner/Hicks Architects of Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Collaborative inc. of Boulder, Colorado to develop a more effective way of carrying out this statewide architectural survey, as well as to upgrade registration forms, identify users needs, and determine alternative approaches. A questionnaire, interview, and public meeting process were subsequently developed to replace the planned quantitative analysis of existing survey documents. This was done when it was determined that the quantitative analysis was not possible from the available documentation.
