Callahan’s
Client: Bill Walsh
Site: Deadwood, South Dakota
Callahan’s is a gaming casino and bar occupying the primary street-front corner of the Franklin Hotel. This corner was originally occupied by the Deadwood newspaper, but is now functioning as part of the hotel. The Collaborative provided interior design and architectural services for the project. The Collaborative acted as purchasing agent for all furnishings and fixtures, including marble floors, custom table tops depicting the Cheyenne-to-Deadwood Stage route, new HVAC, and lighting appropriate to poker and black-jack games. Callahan’s was a fast-track project that took ten weeks from design to opening, and has become the popular bar in Deadwood for off-track betting.
